I suppose there is no "10/10 perfect" film for you. :P Yeah, those parts where he was in his apartment and Elaine started freaking out really pissed me off, too. Maybe the director wanted us to feel Ben's frustration. A distracted narrative is just another type of realist technique....

Yeah, I'm still getting used to that distracted narrative style, but I still think that some of the execution is awkward and heavy-handed in this movie. But I decided to increase my grade to a 9/10 because the film really is quite good.

Of course, being the music-obsessed person that I am, I took particular of notice of the soundtrack. The Simon & Garfunkel tunes really enhanced the experience for me. My favorite part of the movie might have been when Dustin Hoffman was driving up to Berkeley and "Scarborough Fair" was playing in the background. It gave me chills down my spine.
